On July 12th, National French Fry Day, you might be looking to grab an order of crunchy fries to go. But as every fry lover knows, takeout orders of the golden treats can get soggy in no time. The best way to get fries home? Don’t close the take out bag. While this seems counter-intuitive because the heat will escape the bag, closed containers result in condensation and sogginess. The type of container matters, too: Styrofoam and plastic will trap heat and lead to more condensation. An open paper bag is the better way to go. Once home, reheat the fries in an air fryer or toaster oven with a convection setting for about five minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. (The Takeout)
