Chattanooga State Community College
Chattanooga State Community College has taken a major step forward in supporting students’ success by signing 24 new transfer agreements with East Tennessee State University (ETSU).
The agreements cover a wide rand of programs including 5 Associate of Science and 19 Associate of Applied Science degrees. This provides students with a clear and more streamlined path to earning a bachelor’s degree after completing their associate degree program at ChattState.
The initiative reinforces the college’s commitment to its guiding message: “Start Here, Go Anywhere.”
These transfer pathways are designed to save students time and money by eliminating any confusion during the credit transfer process and creating a dependable four-year academic plan.
ChattState’s President Dr. Ashford praises the collaborative efforts behind the agreements, particularly the work of Dr. Mosunmola George-Taylor and colleagues at both institutions. ETSU’s Dr. Bill Flora, Associate Vice Provost, echoed that sentiment, emphasizing how these partnerships strengthen the region’s workforce by providing students with innovative, goal-driven learning opportunities.
With this milestone, ChattState moves even closer to its goal of offering a transfer option for every career and technical program available to students.
