Starting next month, Chattanooga residents will be able to participate in a new three-month pilot program offering free parking credits. This is due to an initiative from the Chattanooga Parking Authority (CPA). The program is part of a broader effort by CARTA to make downtown parking more accessible and support local businesses.
Drivers who’d like to participate will select from four parking credit packages worth up to $24 throughout the pilot. The credits can be used for on-street parking via ParkMobile, as well as in CPA/CARTA-managed lots and the Shuttle Park North Garage. However, credits must be used within the month they are issued and will expire at the end of that month.
Registration is required for the program which opens on Friday, July 11th, then closes on Thursday, July 25th. Eligible city residents will sign up by entering their license plate number. Late registrations will not be accepted, and the enrollment window will not reopen once it closes.
