Akia, a rising R&B singer from Forest City, Arkansas, is quickly gaining recognition as one of the most relatable new voices in music.
Influenced by her church upbringing and early talent show performances, she first built an audience by live-streaming covers with her mother before moving on to record original music in Memphis. Her powerful voice and emotionally honest lyrics have led many to call her “the voice of this generation,” as she writes songs that capture love, heartbreak, and the struggles people often find hard to put into words.
Her recent project, ‘Dumb Crazy’, reflects those themes and has already connected strongly with fans, while her upcoming release, ‘Dumb Crazy Stupid’, promises to continue that authenticity and emotional depth.
Akia describes songwriting as a therapeutic process, allowing her to express herself in ways speaking cannot, and she encourages listeners to also keep streaming her single ‘Pajamas’ while looking out for what’s next.
Listeners can follow her journey under the handle @WhoIsAkia across all platforms.
